some time ago i´ve read that wesen plans the feature to export rom samples to the built in memorycard of the minicommand. This is one feature which made me buy the MC, eventhough it´s a bit silly to buy something for features not available yet :)
however, i know wesen has quite something to do these days.
just wonder if this is still on the list and ever going to happen.
I had a few unexpected things coming up last week, so I didn't finish my blog posts on the goals for 2010. The main message is that I made a few commitments that I can't hold as well as I though regarding the quickness with which I will be able to implement features. However, the ROM sample thing is definitely going to happen, my commitment to the MiniCommand is 100%.
Even more so now, as my main goal for 2010 is to focus on not adding new features, but finish the MiniCommand, build the community, and implement those storage features. However, I needed to take a big step back, focus on organizing my workflow, and I'm slowly settling into it.
I'll repeat it again though, my commitment towards the MiniCommands, its users, and especially all you fantastic early adopters is what is in the center. I also am working on making all this as transparent as I can, and will keep you updated. In fact, I am working right now on the 2 missing blog posts about our goals for 2010.
Actually, my first focus for february is launching the MidiDuino/MiniCommand opensource community, so that finally people can contribute efficiently to the codebase, rather than having this "only wesen can understand what's going on"-situation that it is at present. Then, I will work on those storage-features, as I'm craving them as badly as you all are. However, I want to see how I can work healthily and at a steady pace without loosing foot, I hope you can understand. :)
