Super trigger mode: Instead of randomly splicing up the beat. Have an option to allow button 3 to play the ram machine simply in reverse. Often the splicing makes some nice reverse sounds but are impossible to repeat.

On the RAM page. Instead of having SRR as default. Allow toggle option to change SRR to Filter Q

Parameter mutes. Press one of the switches and then pressing down on one of the encoders. Store the current corresponding parameter value in memory then set that parameter to 0. Repeating this process restores the parameter back to its original level.
(This should work across all pages. Including FILTER FEEDBACK and RAM LEVEL)

Edit: Also some ability to load the minicommand with the current kit settings manually. If you reload a kit in the machinedrum the parameter values do not update on the minicommand, which leads to parameter jumps when you do go to change them.

The last improvement was midi timing which I have discussed in a previous post. The clock needs to be tighter for ram triggering.

very good idea, the SRR is annoying. not so sure about the parameter mutes, I will try them out, but maybe it will get too confusing? In the next few weeks I'm gonna work on finishing the documentation (heavy writing days ahead) and release the framework, and then focus on the firmwares. I posted our goals on the website.

Also here is a longer demo video of the wesen live pathc, with maybe some tricks that are not so obvious: http://blip.tv/file/3165126

and yeah the clock is totally off I have screwed up something. I use the IMM mode which works quite fine though for now. I'm still struggling with that midi clock thing because I want to be able to delay/predelay on the MC, but it's not easy at all.

    cheers, thanks for the feedback!

The automatic parameter learn mode is amazing.
It would be great if there was an easy way to control volume of multiple instruments simultaneously just like a mixer. Not sure if Elektron have implemented a "currently selected track" midi identifier but if they did you could use that to remember the four last selected tracks for volume control.

Also add DEL to my list of toggles for SRR.

I can imagine realtime midi clock sync is an absolute nightmare. You'll work it out.

    The video was great Wesen.

    Thanks,

    - Justin

They have! In the last update firmware I can finally read out and set the current track (whcih was already available on the monomachine). That opens the door for these "preset" pages for the current track, like filter, dec and vol directly accessible.

    Cheers, manuel

Amazing. That is very exciting news indeed.

I have revised my thinking about the MUTE toggling. Perhaps instead you could hold down a switch, change the value of the parameter. Once you release the switch the final parameter value is transmitted. This would prevent unwanted sweeping of parameters by allowing you to select a particular value to send.

For instance if your delay time is 8 and you want to revert back to 24. Rather than sweeping through 8 9 10 11... 23 24. You would hold down a switch, rotate the encoder to 24 and then release to set the value.

Holding down the switch would allow you to set more than 1 parameter at a time.

    Re: http://blip.tv/file/3165126

I found the recording tweaks feature of the MC by accident the other day... I was pretty stoked!

    Good ideas here btw :)
